THE CHEERS BAR

Welcome to The Cheers Bar, a Johannesburg nostalgic rooftop bar that brews its own beers on-site. Cheers Bar is inspired by the iconic South African Chappies sweet. Paying homage to the sweet’s 1950s origins this bar creates an uplifted throwback to the days when we would walk to the local street store or tuck shop and buy a Chappies for 10c. The bar area offers views into the brewing process, letting customers watch the craft of each unique beer. Food trucks are styled to evoke the characteristics of the 1950s Johannesburg, serving bar snacks. The bar offers views of the Johannesburg skyline, surrounded by a retro-inspired interior that captures the spirit and colours of the Chappies Sweet.
